The University will be upgrading the Robertson Library’s IT network this week & replacing network equipment. For OP Staff and Learners this mainly means WiFi, the photocopier and the Remote Desktop Shared PCs may be unavailable at times.
Each outage’s length will depend on each replacement’s complexity so predicting durations can be difficult, but expect up to two hours for Wi-Fi and up to four hours for wired connections (in wall sockets).
This is when equipment in each cabinet in the Robertson Library is scheduled to be replaced:
- Cabinet ‘SS’ on 30-June-2025 believed to affect the North End, All Floors
from 8am to 12pm
- Cabinet ‘ST’ on 1-July-2025 believed to affect South End, All floors
from 8am to 12pm
- Cabinet ‘Su’ on 8-July-2025 believed to affect South End, All floors
from 8am to 12pm
Our installers will be doing their very best to minimise this disruption and will prioritise restoring Wi-Fi first.
