Sophie Hardy Fashion Designer

In less than one year, it looks like Sophie Brooke Hardy has cracked the fashion industry. Having already showcased her collections on an international stage and won a prominent design award, this precocious young designer looks set to secure a front-row seat in the world of fashion.

Graduate of Otago Polytechnic's Bachelor of Design (Fashion), Sophie recently returned from Gorizia in northeast Italy where she was a finalist in the prestigious Mittelmoda Fashion Awards. Her collection Possession Obsession caught the attention of "big fashion companies", including H&M Swedish Clothing.

"The calibre of creative talent was incredible," says Sophie "It was such a thrill to showcase my work to some of the industry's fashion heavyweights."

Sophie is now more driven than ever to pursue a career in fashion. "I have made it my mission to continue building on the skills I learnt at fashion school, as well as making connections within the industry."
