Scholarships
Otago Polytechnic has a variety of sources for scholarship funding. Some scholarships are funded through the Otago Polytechnic Scholarship scheme and others through external organisations. Note that these scholarships are for New Zealand residents only.

Todd Foundation Awards for Excellence (ITP)
Otago Polytechnic administers this fund on behalf of the Todd Foundation and the ITP Sector. The Awards are for research projects such as Masters research. Details and application forms for Todd Foundation Awards.
Otago Polytechnic Education Foundation
The Otago Polytechnic Education Foundation is a Trust established to promote the advancement of knowledge and sound learning in association with Otago Polytechnic. It is designed to assist existing and potential students of Otago Polytechnic and members of the academic and general staff with initiatives that would promote the objectives of Otago Polytechnic. Applications close in June each year, for more information and application forms contact Ronda McLaren.

- School Principal's Scholarship for candidates with recommendation from their former principal
- Otago Corrections Facility Scholarship for candidates with acceptance from their Corrections Facility Manager
- Mana Pounamu to celebrate those Māori who have been nominated as recipients of Mana Pounamu Young Māori Achievers Award
- MaataWaka to encourage Māori of all ages and backgrounds to study at Otago Polytechnic

BreakOut is an online database which provides information on available scholarships, awards and grants based on criteria, level of study and discipline along with closing dates, application requirements and contact details.
The BreakOut database may be accessed through the local library (a small charge may apply).
