Otago Polytechnic offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate study options – from English Language to Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate programmes.   All of our courses and programmes are taught and examined, in English.

Important information:

Not all programmes are available to International students. You need to check the programme information carefully to ensure it does not say “This course is not available to International Students”

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of a satisfactory level of English language proficiency.  All of our academic programmes require an IELTS or TOEFL score, or equivalent, for admission.

Study Preparation for Otago Polytechnic: Get Ready for Your Studies in 2012!

Our Study Preparation Course prepares international students, who have been accepted to full-time undergraduate or graduate certificate, diploma and degree programmes, for study success in New Zealand at Otago Polytechnic. The course introduces students to the learning styles and environment at Otago Polytechnic.

Information on this programme is included in your Offer of Place package.

Our Unique Teaching Style

Learning with your Hands and your Head

Your study will emphasize learning by doing, with a real connection to putting your thinking into practice in the real world.   Most of our programmes include time spent in a work or internship placements, where you have the opportunity to gain even more from your learning because you are testing it with real clients in the real world. 

Get Real World Experience

Our Business, Information Technology and Design programmes all include work experience, either in an internship setting or by responding and engaging with real clients on your brief with them.  Our School of Art engages you from the first day in the creation and thinking and develop of your art practice, including the opportunity to exhibit your work in a real gallery.
