Apartment and house rentals

To keep costs down, students will often share an apartment or house, which is also known as ‘flatting’, and a three-bedroom house or apartment may be available from NZD $400 a week. Electricity and gas are not usually included in the rent and you may need to buy furniture.
If you decide to live in an apartment or house, you should allow at least NZD $150 a week for food, electricity and basic living costs. This does not include other personal expenses such as mobile phone or entertainment.
To find an apartment or house to rent, or accommodation to share, search online - ‘Auckland to rent’.
