Your first massage session – what to expect

Masseuse massaging a persons leg
Massage has many theraputic benefits
Woman getting a face massage
or can just be an excellent way to relax and regain balance

Turn up to your first massage session about ten minutes early. (This will give you time to have a quick read through our terms of service & complete our medical screening forms before your massage session, otherwise we’ll need to do this within your booked time.)

The student will meet you at your booked session time and will ask you to come through to a clinic where they will take you through an assessment process to help them identify the cause of your symptoms. In most cases this assessment process will take between 10-20 minutes.

Following the client interview, the student will leave you to get changed.  They will knock on the door before entering again. If you are not ready when they knock, please let them know.

At this point, the massage will begin. The student will use a range of techniques which are chosen based on the initial assessment process. You should always feel that you are in control of the situation. If you would like the student to use more or less pressure, please let them know. If you would like them to stop doing something, or concentrate on something, again it would be very helpful if you would let them know.

Once the massage has finished, the student will leave the room, and you will have some time to get changed. At this stage, they will return to the room, and will make some suggestions regarding future treatment.

Finally, you can pay for the session at our reception.

What can I expect to pay?
