The Otago Farmers Market has rapidly become a weekly social event and Otago Polytechnic are proud to be a part of the family of vendors that you see on the weekend.
In 2010 the School of Hospitality and the Otago Farmers Market trust entered a co-operative educational agreement involving the Saturday morning mobile kitchen.
Once a month, staff and students from the School of Hospitality demonstrate local, healthy and affordable dishes at the Saturday market in conjunction with free culinary advice to the public.
This monthly event allows us to share skills, knowledge and sustainable vision with our local community and in turn bring about effective positive lifestyle changes. The project also enables our students to see the benefits and rewards of volunteer work within our local community.
The market takes place every Saturday morning, from 8am until 12.30pm, and is located in the Dunedin Railway Station north car park, on Anzac Avenue.
