2012 Training Restaurant Calendar

Table setting

Technique Training Restaurant is open to the public with dedicated parking for our customers.  It is fully licensed only (no BYO) and offers both casual and formal dining with dietary requirements met on request. We support the use of fresh produce from local suppliers and campus gardens and our staff and students are committed to using sustainable practices.

LOCATION:
Manaaki Block, Otago Polytechnic,
Harbour Terrace, Dunedin

Students in our cookery and hospitality programmes are required to work in the restaurant as part of their training assessment. This allows you to not only enjoy, but also participate in the training of our future chefs, hotel managers and restaurant staff under the guidance of professional staff.  We are not open every day as our times are scheduled to suit the teaching and assessment requirements of our cookery and front of house students.

We are not a BYO restaurant as our hospitality students sell wine as part of their training and assessment requirements.
These are all student orientated events and some of these events will not be finalised by the students until closer to the day. An example of this is the theme lunches and dinners.
