Real Journeys is a large tourism provider offering excursions in the bottom part of the South Island. One of the branches, Queenstown has a large restaurant over on the western shores of the lake at Walter Peak. Typically this busy operation looks after guests from overseas as well as the domestic market.
Although we were achieving excellent results from customer satisfaction surveys we wanted to exceed all our customers expectations and by this we wanted to solely concentrate on service. I was told about Paul Bray from the Otago Polytechnic who Real Journeys contracted to facilitate and deliver a course in customer service.
We found Paul to be thorough in delivering a course targeted at improving customer service which in turn increased sales. Paul is an industry professional and his enthusiasm and knowledge was welcomed by all staff.
What also pleased me, was that after delivering successful training with results that were tangible Paul picked up the phone a few weeks after the course to follow up on how things were going.
I would have no hesitation in asking Paul and the Otago Polytechnic to offer more training courses for our staff

Mercy Hospital contacted the Otago Polytechnic to update all Food Service Staff in
The two sessions were held onsite. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the tutor, Paul Bray.
Paul has worked in the industry for many years prior .to becoming a lecturer. He was enthusiastic and had many stories to tell that were relevant to his teaching topics which gave the course a relaxed atmosphere.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Paul conducting any industry related courses in the future.
