I am a practicing textile artist and teach in the textile arena within the Fashion programme on a range of courses, from studio projects, electives, interdisciplinary, through to certificate in fashion studies.
Within my practice I have predominantly been working in the field of Fashion/Art and Installation over the past ten years. My work, exhibited both in New Zealand and Australia, situates my practice as a maker and a collector.
I like work that evolves from an immediate response to a material, a place, a space, a surface. The notion of bought or found discarded materials plays with experiences related to sensation and the body, evoking comfort and discomfort, asking questions of the viewer.
