International Links & Opportunities

The School of Design enjoys strong and frequent links to the international design community.

We are a member of the Cumulus Association of Art and Design Schools, IFFTI (International Foundation of Fashion Techncal Institutes) and the Designers Accord.

Our staff and students benefit from ongoing networks and opportunities created through these associations.

We offer a student exchange programme to the IED, Milan, Italy and host an international fashion designer each year through the Mittelmoda Research Scholar award.

Through partnership with iD Dunedin Fashion week, the School of Design welcomes international and national emerging designers, as well as fashion icons. In 2010, Zandra Rhodes (the Princess of Punk) visited the school with Andrew Logan.
