Did you know the Cromwell Campus is the only chef School in New Zealand to make its’ own Pinot Noir, and grow saffron, chestnuts, hazelnuts, globe artichokes, figs, berry fruit, stone and pip fruit!
Our trainee chefs have access to world class extra virgin olive oil grown right here in the heart of Central Otago, and can pop out of the kitchen at any time to pick fresh bay, rosemary, thyme, snow-peas, watercress, miners lettuce, mizuna, rocket and kale.
The Central Otago region is an inspiring environment, with dramatic seasons and wonderful products which have a reputation for distinctive robust flavors, given the extreme, shorter growing seasons.
Come join us, exploring the best of Central Otago with knowledgeable and passionate chef guides.
Be taken through dramatic Central Otago surrounds, where you can visit local producers of award winning and certified olive oils for tastings, and passionate saffron growers.
Chat with winemakers, game-keepers, gather wild herbs and visit a local boutique preserve and chutney store.
This is a personal and fun food tour sampling the very best of Central Otago.
We’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch at an award winning winery and restaurant, where you are treated to a taste of the some of the produce we have sampled along the way.
