Coffee - Barista training

Here at the Cromwell campus we make great coffee. – Naturally, we help other people make great coffee too!

We are currently offering a certificate in Café Barista Operations.

In this six week block programme you will develop the wide range of skills and knowledge required of professionals in the Café service areas of the hospitality industry.

The programme focuses on café service including wine service, café style food preparation and barista knowledge. This programme has been designed for anyone interested in the café culture.

The programme is run by Trish Wilson, who has had more than twenty years experience working in the hospitality industry both in New zealand and in Europe.

Trish has worked as Executive Chef in three busy cafes and owns her own catering business. She has lectured for Otago polytechnic at both the Cromwell and Dunedin campuses on Catering and Barista programmes.

Trish has also worked in high schools training students for competitions up to national level and undertaken cooking demonstrations.
