Ana Terry - MFA Candidate

Project Overview - Holding Patterns (working title)

Currently my research investigates creative processes and what may constitute 'an arts practice' which includes the development of work, curatorial projects, and collaborations. I have chosen to develop a series of projects that informs my thesis - these include Wall Stories (2006) and terra_data (2007-08).

My approach is inter-disciplinary. I often use found materials en mass and apply archaeological and geographical methodologies/analogies in both the practical development of the works and in the writing.

I am currently responding to living and working in Vanuatu, a developing country. This is also being informed by my work with Wan Smolbag's use of theatre, story telling, and play as a means to educate and empower.
