Neil Grant

My Ceramics started at Auckland Teachers College in 1960 and I became involved in the development of the Auckland Studio Potters and was a foundation member of the New Zealand Potters.

With Teaching At Secondary Schools and later running Ceramics at Otago Polytechnic I have always been involved in training, promoting and practicing ceramics.

Now, managing the distance Ceramics programme I am heavily involved in promoting the teaching of Ceramics throughout New Zealand with our first groups of graduates from the course now being represented in our national shows.

My own ceramics has moved into a period of reflecting on my beginnings and I have been looking at those old recipes and notes and playing with forms to show those glazes.
