
Michele Beevors is head of Sculpture/Ceramics /Jewellery and Metalsmithing at Dunedin School of Art. She lectures in the Undergraduate programme specialising in both the History of Moderninst Sculpture and in the sculpture studios. She supervises students in the postgraduate programmes in the theory and practice of art.
Her own research is driven equally by a concern for material culture, value and the commodity and by George Batiallle's idea of formless.
She holds Masters Degrees from both Canberra School of Art at the Australian National University and Columbia University, New York. USA.
Research Expertise: Gender studies. Film theory and horror movies. Material cultures/thing theory.
