A one-day symposium held at the Dunedin School of Art on Friday 29 October 2010. The Dunedin School of Art at Otago Polytechnic and the Faculty of Law, University of Otago invited interested artists, art theorists and administrators, lawyers and law makers, as well as members of the public to take part in a one-day symposium on the complex history and current relationships between art and law.
The full-day Symposium focused on interrelated themes including: ownership, authenticity, copyright intellectual property, forgery, art and censorship, culture and rights, heritage and values, art and the struggle for human rights, art and law as ‘world making’.
