Student Allowances
Acceptance for one of these programmes is the basic qualification for the allowance. However, there are exceptions that may make some students ineligible, particularly where parents income is high. All students are eligible to apply for student loans.
In addition to enrolment fees students can expect to spend up to $1,000 per year on text books and materials. Also, as the initial student allowance payment may not be made until mid April, students are strongly advised to set aside a further $1,000 to cover accommodation expenses during the first few weeks.
