Suture Self: an exhibition curated by Victoria Bell with Neil Emmerson and Clive Humphreys.
The Textiles Studio, Dunedin School of Art at Otago Polytechnic – Te Kura Matatini ki Otago presents Suture Self, a group exhibition exploring Textile sensibilities in relation to notions of the Body.
Artists who have trained in Textiles at the Dunedin School of Art, or have a relationship to the Studio have been selected to show in Suture Self . An essay by Bridie Lonie will accompany the exhibition. The show is part of the Art and Medicine Symposium, hosted by the Dunedin School of Art and the Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago, on Friday 26 August, 2011.
