The Dunedin School of Art Gallery is a very active and lively exhibition space. There is a continuous programme of events in the Gallery showcasing a wide variety of work from within the Art School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, from past students, academic staff and from other schools within the Otago Polytechnic. The Gallery operates very much as a teaching space for the School of Art students giving them the opportunity to present their work professionally both to fellow students and the public as well as engage with the work of other artists and groups.
The Gallery is open to the public during the school term when exhibitions are running between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
You can see the Gallery Schedule here advertising exhibitions and events in advance so you can plan your visit. The Gallery is generally not a commercial space however SITE, the annual final year student exhibition offers student works for sale and spreads from the Gallery through into many other areas of the School.
SITE 10 will open to the public from Saturday 20th November 10.00 – 4.00 and Monday 22nd – Thursday 25th November 12.00 – 4.00.
