Inaugural professorial lectures
The first professorial appointments were made at Otago Polytechnic in 2006.
The inaugural professorial lecture was given in 2007 by Professor Leoni Schmidt, Drawing and the Politics of Provisonality.
The broad aim of the inaugural professorial lecture is to promote and celebrate the academic reputation of professorial staff.
The series makes an important contribution to the Polytechnic's role within the wider community by providing a public forum for applied research.
