If there is an overall theme for research at Otago Polytechnic it would be developing a knowledge base for Polytechnic education.
We pride ourselves in being at the fore front of creating new knowledge by valuing work that is both challenging and creative.
Our researchers performed well as one of the leading Polytechnics’ for research in the 2006 Performance Based Research Fund quality evaluation, a position we are working to consolidate and improve for the upcoming 2012 round.
To see more of our research go to the Reports and Dialogue section where you can read about newly published research in our annual report, Rīpoata Rakahau-ā-Tau; or our biannual publication Update: New Applied Research, where we feature upcoming publications alongside ‘tasters’ of work in progress. Otago Polytechnic also publishes two peer reviewed journals, Junctures: the journal of thematic dialogue and Scope: contemporary research issues, links to these can also be found under the Reports and Dialogue page.
If you have particular research interests, or wish to make contact with individual researchers, you can perform a keyword or name search in the section Expertise and Publications Search section.
