
TThis programme is designed to deepen students understanding of the body of knowledge that informs the day-to-day practice of an occupational therapist. Students will not only extend their knowledge, but will develop the skills and knowledge required to carry out a research process. Graduands with first class honours will be eligible to apply to enter either a PhD or professional doctoral programme.
This programme is only available to students who achieved a grade point average of 5.0 across their three years in the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy programme at Otago Polytechnic.
English language skills equivalent to an IELTS overall band score (academic) of 7.5 (with no individual score less than 7.0).
Master of Occupational Therapy or those awarded a First Class for their Honours degree could apply to a PhD programme at another university.
Duration: One Year (Full-Time)
Location: Distance based, with compulsory attendance at four schools throughout the year held at Otago Polytechnic.
