Certificate in Snowsport Instructing (Ski) or (Snowboard)

This qualification is for intermediate-level skiers/snowboarders looking for an exciting career in snowsport instructing.

The practical programme is taught by Cardrona Alpine Resort's most experienced staff. New Zealand Snowsport Instructor Alliance (NZSIA)/Snowboard Instruction New Zealand (SBINZ) examiners also provide and/or oversee the programme delivery and content. Candidates will shadow the lessons of existing instructors before taking sole charge. NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor qualifications may be completed as part of this programme.

Entry requirements

You must be a reasonably confident skier/rider on a variety of terrain and snow conditions. You must submit a detailed logbook of your skiing/riding experience over a mminimum two to three year period with your application along with a health and safety declaration and a referees report.

International entry requirements

Must meet all stated entry requirements, plus demonstrate English language skills equivalent to an IELTS overall band score (academic) of 5.5 (with writing no less than 6.0 and all other bands no less than 5.5).
