Technology Transfer Vouchers

The Otago Polytechnic is now an accredited Technology Transfer partner of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

The Technology Transfer Voucher Programme was established in 2010 to make it easier for businesses to access research and development expertise.

Vouchers are available to businesses requiring external expertise to explore their research and development opportunities and can be 'cashed in' at accredited providers including the Otago Polytechnic. Typically, these research and development areas will be in high-value manufacturing services as prioritised by the Government for economic growth.

Otago Polytechnic specialises in applied research and development across the areas of:

• design-led product and service development
• information and communication technology
• sustainable practices and systems
• engineering (mechanical and production)
• natural resources
• business strategy and development
• sport-based product and service development

Any New Zealand businesses contemplating new developments or commercial ventures in health and medical technologies, information, communication, digital technologies and agri-technologies have the opportunity to benefit from the Technology Transfer Voucher Programme.
