What is Evolver?

Evolver is an innovation entity that can assist in the development process of preparing enterprising ideas and concepts for commercialisation.

The main capability focus of Evolver centres on design, R&D, prototyping and product development, but depending  on the project, can also provide the necessary support of, specific technology development, IP protection, market research, and market entry as required and negotiated as part of the Evolver project contract.

The main project focus is on customer/user centred need, and being able to develop and integrate technologies into pragmatic innovations that fulfil the unmet need through optimum performance and emotional connection with the customers, using good design and value creation strategies.

What you get through Evolver

Individual teams (with specialist capabilities to match the project), are formed within Evolver, to undertake the developments, with between $100K - $300K  being invested in the specific negotiated elements for a selected project, over a time period of between 6 -18 months. The scope and expected deliverables of the development will be negotiated with the selected founder, prior to the commencement of the project.

What you give back to Evolver

In return for the development of a new product (forming the basis, or part of a commercial enterprise, a start-up company, new product line or license arrangement with a third party), the Founder agrees to pay Evolver a royalty, (a negotiated percentage of gross revenues generated by the new development), for an agreed period of time. The Founder maintains ownership of intellectual property and equity.

Evolver is funded by the TEC websiteTertiary Education Commission Encouraging and Supporting Innovation Fund.
