Innovation

Innovation is a term bandied about a lot. The act of innovation means to create something new or change; to be innovative is to be deemed ahead of the times.

In business terms it can also mean improved effectiveness and therefore more profitability.

So how can the Otago Institute of Design add innovation to what you do?

By working with your business or organisation and using design thinking, we can help develop unique solutions to solve problems or create opportunities. As Tim Brown, from IDEO says:

“Design thinking can be described as a discipline that uses the designer’s sensibility and methods to match people’s needs with what is technologically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity.”
