Hospitality is the largest industry in the world; a qualification in this area is your passport to live and work across New Zealand or practically anywhere else on the globe.

Is a career in hospitality for me?

You're on the right track if your interests include: Food Technology or Nutrition, Maths, Te reo Maori, Languages, Economics or Business Studies your skills include communication, creativity and you like meeting people, travel and non-traditional working hours.

Our Qualifications

Otago Polytechnic offers a full range of programmes in cookery, front of house service and management. We have certificate and diploma-level programmes and have just introduced a world-leading degree in culinary arts. You can study hospitality programmes in Dunedin or Central Otago.
