Research supervisor award

To acknowledge the commitment and energy devoted by a research supervisor to the development of students and/or colleagues to achieve their research goals.

Awarded to: Leoni Schmidt, Art

Professor Leoni Schmidt from the School of Art is the sole nominee for this new award.

Her work in supporting students and staff in their research endeavours is truly outstanding and commendable; the nomination signed by at least 10 of the department staff highlights the quality, respect, leadership, organisation, drive and her constant seeking of opportunities for staff and student research which she supports.

In summary the department considers her supervision and support as a key to the high achieving research culture that exists within the School of Art.  Leoni sets the benchmark as the first recipient of this award.
