Excellence in service provision staff award

To recognise in a tangible way outstanding accomplishments and exceptional individual achievement of members of Otago Polytechnic general staff in the pursuit of the Polytechnic’s objectives and mission.

Awarded to: Irene Cron, Foundation Learning

Commendations: Anna James, Academic Quality Unit, Sylvia Gilkinson, Hospitality

Irene has worked at Otago Polytechnic for 19 years and has gained an in-depth understanding of the polytechnic in that time.  Irene has a very strong customer service approach, taking particular attention to meeting the needs of students.

She is generous in her support of others and contributes widely within the polytechnic supporting others, mentoring less experienced staff.  She is held in high regard by all those that come into contact with her and is awarded the Excellence in Service provision award.

Commendations are also awarded to Anna James - Academic Quality Unit, and Sylvia Gilkinson - Hospitality, who will receive certificates of commendation from Phil Ker, Chief Executive.
