If so we think we have a very unique opportunity for you.
We are looking for an experienced English Language Teacher who has a working knowledge of the Japanese language and culture to teach in the Certificate in English & Engineering programme for the School of Architecture, Building and Engineering. You will be responsible for providing academic leadership and sound pastoral care for our Japanese students’ studying this programme. A basic grounding in engineering is also desirable but not essential.
To secure this role you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills in both English and Japanese, and the ability to establish and develop relationships with students.
As a Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager you will also need to possess the ability to coach students in an engaging manner, have an energetic and enthusiastic approach and a cultural awareness and understanding , to the delivery of the programme. A basis ground in engineering would be an advantage but not essential.
